Moving Image With Rebecca: Depth Of Focus

High Shot

This still image is a technique to make the subject look small or weak in this angle. For example if this was a interview this image would be a emplorer that is getting interviewed.

Low Shot

This Angle gives the object power, for example if this was a job interview this still image would be the boss or high mananger in the company

D.O.F

Whats Working?
I Like that i could have a partner to work with, it made it easier to try new angles and get the shots that i wanted for the task.

Whats Not Working?
we didn't have a tripod so that means we didn't really get accurate shots. But its always good to try new equipment at the end of the day if the camera has lens you can achieve anything.

What Next?
I want to try and use the other camera's so i could experiment moving image. but for this task it was still image.

Moving Image WIth Rebecca: Research on Location

Location

Dessert Road

I was Looking at locations that will empower my Visual Music Video that i am trying to achieve. I came across a area that has beautiful scenery and will be a good establishing shot which can be used in the start of the video clip. This place is called Dessert Road and is also in New Zealand which is a good Opportunity for me. From Waiouru to Turangi having a place like this i need to be there. I like how i could use the area for my video clip such as panning and wide shots. this will be a good chance for me to do a road trip.

Longbay Beach

I have been looking at places that would be perfect. This beach is located in North Shore Auckland. Looking at this Beach from the images above it would be good for a summer time song or even a story line to show the viewers what i am trying to do. I like the layout of the beach only because there is places at this beach that i could get ideas from when i am thinking angles.

Moving Image With Rebecca: Research On Music Videos

Pan

Painning is rotating camera horizontally. The most important thing to remember aboout panning is never pan without a reason. As allways, rules can be broken. You just need a proper reason

Ink Monstarr-BLVCKMAGIC
I follow this Artist and i noticed that he uses alot of Panning in most of his music videos. I am interested in making a video like this only because of the location that he has chosen makes the lyrics powerful. In one of his lines "They say it was black magic how i did it" Meaning that he came out of nowhere into the music industry and is showing himself as a Individual Musician.

Establishing Shot

A Established shot is the start and into or theme of a music video/Film. Establishing the context for a scene by showing the relationship between its important figues and objects. It is generally a long- or extreme long shot at the beginning of a scene indicating where, and sometimes when, the remainder of the scene takes place.

Smashproff-Brother feat. Gin

Smashproff is a local group in new zealand based in south auckland, that talk about most pacific and maori agenders. Where people struggle and find themeselves at a place where they dont want to be at. In the beginning of the video they demonstate a established shot followed with a convisation where they talk about problems that people go through on a daily basis.

Object Class: Three Silhouettes

Silhouettes

We are doing silhouettes and we were asked to look for three silhouettes that relate to your idea that you want to produce. i am very interested in the tattoo world, so therefore I've found some tattoo guns. I was looking through some images and i came across these three the first one i like the detail of it even if i have to put some work into it, it will be worth it. I have experimented on some Hand guns just to get familiar with the same type of shape that will be represent myself as a person

Moving Image With Rebecca: Wrong Video Exercise

Moving Image

As a class we were given the activity to split in groups and deminstrate what "Not" to do when it comes to moving image. My Group had to show through the lens of a camera what Head Hunting is.
